Despite the continued threat of Covid, we have now resumed our activities and it is good to see old friends gathered together again in the true spirit of “good fellowship”. However, Covid has left its mark. We have lost some Members and need to reactivate our social calendar.
Already, we have attracted some new Members this year and I hope more will join us before too long. We can promise a good lunch, good company and a wide range of interesting speakers. The first point of contact for anyone interested is our Secretary Mike Potter.
On the social side, steps have already been taken to link up with other organizations for trips to guarantee numbers and our Social Secretary is always looking for new ideas.
Any club is only as good as its component parts. I therefore call upon all Members to look to see what they can do for the Club this year as we rebuild from Covid. With apologies to President John F Kennedy “Ask not what your Club can do for you – ask what you can do for your Club”!
